Maya Tz'utuhil Gallery. "In Guatemala's highlands on
Lake Atitlan, nestled among three volcanoes, self-taught
Maya artists record their threatened traditions in
their paintings. Sales of this calendar assist the Network
in Solidarity with the People of Guatemala (NISGUA), a
non-profit grassroots. organization, and Arte May Tz'utuhil
which supports Maya artists. This years
calendar includes the symbols for the four glyphs that give
each day a name. Its a great way to begin to
understand the complex Mayan calendar.
