1.  What Is Terra Experience's Specialty?

Terra Experience's Speciality is Our specialty: ethnic doll clothes that fit American Girl and other 16", 18" and 23" dolls, hand-woven in Guatemala and Central America. We also carry hand-woven textiles, bags, accessories, jewelry, arts and crafts, paintings, books, and other wonderful gifts from Guatemala and Latin America

Terra Experience follows the Fair Trade Federation model, by keeping close ties with her producer partners in Guatemala.  I partner with Mayan weavers to offer high-quality traditional outfits that fit 18” and other sized dolls.  Terra Experience commits to paying a living wage, supporting environmental protection projects within the producer community, and has ongoing relationships with producer partners.  The Terra Experience Web site includes a full breakdown of payments and benefits to the producer group so shoppers can follow where their dollars are going.  Line of products includes hand-woven doll outfits; doll accessories like hats, bags, aprons, and jewelry; and children’s books about the Mayan culture.

While Terra Experience makes doll clothes that fit 18" American Girl Doll, like many crafters, we are not associated with American Girl Doll or Mattel, the company that owns AG.  If you let us know what  16", 18" or 23" doll you have we can probably find a beautiful, hand crafted, fair trade doll outfit to fit your favorite doll.

2.  What Makes Terra Experience's Doll Clothes Unique?

"Imagine" and  "Travel" with Your Favorite Doll to the Mayan World of Guatemala.   Have fun, learn new stories and meet new friends.

You are also buying responsibly -  helping Mayan women in Guatemala, though your purchases, keep their kids in school.   Green American recognized Terra Experience as one of "Ten Green Toys for 2008"

Juana from Patzun Guatemala -  Matriarch of the the family with 4 grown daughters who also weave and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their beautify handwoven doll clothes are similar to the ones they wear. Weavng the doll clothes help keep their children in school.  I met her granddaughter, pictured in 2003 with Juana, last year I recently visited their small farm and the same Grandaughter is now studying at the university in natural resources, another is studying to be a nurse.
