Note I'm finding it increasingly difficult to
Todos Santos huipiles that have all 3-panel brocaded and made on
backstrap loom. Many now have side panels that are made on a
treadle loom.

Todos Santos, Guatemala blue,
multicolor small child huipil.
Backstrap loomed, traditional 3-panels.
Tightly woven and finely brocaded panels on front and back.
Traditional applied woven decoration around neck with light wear. All
panel edges are salvaged with some stitching to reinforce. Panels are
open along sides so can be worn as poncho or easily sewn closed. Good,
used condition with some light fading and a few loose threads.

that is in good shape. Base color red. Nice medallions on shoulder.
Condition: Good with light wear. One panel is
selvage finished, others fringe that has been reinforced.

loomed, traditional 3-panels. Center section brocaded Nice neck trim.
Condition: Moderately good with moderate amount loose threads and
wear. Panel ends have been hemmed, one panel's hem loose. One side of
center panel has base material has places where weave has opened a bit on
one side and light pencil type mark. Other center panel is good shape.

Todos Santos, Guatemala back-strap
loomed, traditional 3-panels. All panels brocaded. Unusual pattern on side
panels with rose neck trim that brings out some of the background color in
the brocade. Base material is green.
Condition: Good with some wear and loose
threads. Two panels selvage finished, others fringed. The slit in the side
of neck hole was opened an extra inch without finishing.

loomed,3-panels, center panel brocade. Base color is medium green.
Brocade and side panels have greens, turquois, roses and pinks.
Condition:
Moderately good used condition. Some wear and loose threads around the
neck hold. Brocade portions of weave has light wear. Green base shows a more
wear with a bit of pink thread showing from from the cross thread (look at
pictures below). One of

Beautifully finished neck in excellent condition. Huipils
Condition: Very good used condition. One
panel selvage finished, others reinforced fringe. Only problem is that
one panel is only 25" long, others considerably longer. Could be
evened out by hemming.

Base color is mauve.
Condition: Generally good with
a few loose threads and light wear. The center brocade on one side a a light
area which is not very noticeable except in certain light (see picture
below). Two panels with selvages, others have been
hemmed to even out length. Two panels have reasonably good selvages others
are hemmed. Fits over my 22" head.
