with nice hand-embroidery around the collar. The salvages on the bottom of
the panels are finished with a quality zig-zag stitch indicating the
material was probably made on a floor (Spanish style loom). The blue color
indicates its probably a piece made after 2000. All seams have a nice randa
(embroidered seam) holding the pieces of the shirt together - quite
distinctive.
Condition: Very Good.
Light wear on collar. Fabric in good condition. Shirt

San Antonio Palopo Boy's Shirt
This is a distinctive shirt.
The style is San Antonio Palopo, but the colors remind me of some Santiago
Atitlan shirts and jackets. I'm wondering if there wasn't some
inter-marriage between the villages, and this shirt has elements of the two
villages traditions. All seams have a randa (embroidered seam) holding the
pieces of the shirt together, makes a nice contrast.

red color would usually indicate an older shirt - I believe it is more
recent. I think men may like the red color they grew up with. The
sleeves are large, with new fabric is a slightly different pattern than the
rest of the shirt.

randa (embroidered seam) holding the pieces of the shirt together - quite
distinctive. While the red color would usually indicate an older shirt - I
believe it is more recent. I think men may like the red color they
grew up with.
Condition: Very Good
used. The sleeves are large. The one issues is that floor-loomed
fabric, with somewhat different appearance has been used to enlarge the
sleeve.
